Father and Daughter team, John and Amanda, started Shenandoah Planing Mill in 2017 with a dream to bring the concept of a traditional Planing Mill back to the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. They have built a strong team of industry professionals and hardworking people who make up SPM.

At SPM, we believe in working hard and living with love. We are passionate about Appalachian Hardwoods and responsibly sourcing and harvesting one of West Virginia’s greatest renewable resources. Seeing these products in the homes, buildings, and projects of our clients brings us great satisfaction. We enjoy training up the next generation of carpenters and hardwood industry workers and hope our enthusiasm is contagious.

Oh, and we love our dogs.
